DOCUMENTARY FILMMAKING
Stringline Pictures partnered with PBS affiliate KSMQ to produce a long-form documentary telling the stories of immigrants who have come to America and made Southern Minnesota their home. Developed over the course of nearly a year, the project focused on authentic, human-centered storytelling—capturing personal journeys, cultural identity, and the impact these individuals have had on their communities.
Production took place across multiple locations throughout Southern Minnesota, allowing the stories to unfold naturally in the places where people live, work, and build their lives. Stringline handled all aspects of production and post-production, including cinematography, editorial, sound, and final delivery.
The completed documentary aired on broadcast television through PBS and was distributed across streaming platforms, extending its reach beyond traditional broadcast audiences. This project reflects Stringline’s commitment to meaningful documentary storytelling and our experience delivering broadcast-ready, long-form content from concept through completion.
